Setup
The setup details for the SN85G4 has been moved to a separate article since this is the first AMD Athlon 64 review here at WhiningDog. Here's a brief outline of what the setup process was like for the SN85G4:
- Take apart the components:
- Remove the case cover
- Remove the hard drive cage
- Remove the ICE heatsink
- Prepare the Athlon 64 processor
- Spread the thermal grease onto the processor and to the ICE heatsink
- Install the Athlon 64 processor
- Install the ICE heatsink
- Install the memory sticks
- Install the hard drive and DVD ROM drive
- Install the AGP graphics card
- Close up the case
- Install an Operating System
Now that seems simple enough doesn't it? As I mentioned earlier, we'll go into further detail in a separate "Build It!" article for the Shuttle SN85G4 system.
