As you can see from above, this board is packed with features. Having
four USB 2.0 ports in the rear I/O panel is a great feature; especially
compared against the Supermicro X5DAL-TG2 where you need to install the
connectors to get to the four on-board USB ports. Otherwise you’d
be stuck with only two ports in the rear. However as with many of the
other E7505 boards out there, you will not see a FireWire connector here.
That’s unfortunate since you will have to shell out some cash for
a FireWire/IEEE 1394 card. There is also no SCSI support in this model
– if you want SCSI, be prepared for the larger sibling – the
S2665.
