Physical Overview
The Maxtor OneTouch comes designed in a shiny aluminum exterior with a blue front LED and panel. There is a blue vertical stand that can be used to prop the OneTouch drive sideways. You can also add rubber feet to the OneTouch and lay the drive down flat on a surface.
The front of the OneTouch is extremely sparse. There is only one button in the front that doubles as a Status indicator light - flashing blue colors during activity (There are actually two blue LEDs on the button).
The two flashing blue indicator lights have the following meanings:
- Both lights on - Power on/Ready to go
- Alternating blinking - Processing command/Transferring data
- One off and one blinking - Power saving mode
The back of the OneTouch is as follows: There is a fan grill, a USB port, a power connector and a power switch.
The power switch is handy for the instances where you want to turn off the drive without needing to pull the AC adapter from the outlet.
