1. Introduction
Well this is a nice occasion for us here at WhiningDog.
We're presenting our first real case review for this site and we'd like
to thank the Victor and Michael over at
AJump.com for providing us with this case. Yes we've had reviews of
entire barebones systems before and you've seen a number of cases in some
pictures on our site, but we've never actually sat down and reviewed a
case and only a case.
I've
personally gone through quite a number of PC cases over the last few years.
Heck, when I first got into the whole DIY hobby, I never thought much
about the way cases played into the entire computer building experience.
Back then, I just went for what worked. To be honest with you, I think
for most people out there, what works is indeed good enough. However there
are also some of you who just won't settle for that and want the very
latest in light aluminum cases. Personally, I've seen one too many aluminum
cases recently so when Ajump sent us the Impression
IM-21 Mid Tower, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't
your normal aluminum case but an all chromate case with a thick scratch
resistance coating of chromate. Let's take a look inside shall we?
I always like to take some time to look into
the companies that we review. It's nice to know who's making your parts
isn't it? Ok so maybe it's just me. In any case, Impression is a company
that was founded in 1989 and has been delivering various different types
of products for the consumer market but mostly in the computer industry.
They market various products that range from computer monitors to accessories
to cases like the IM-21. They're based in Fremont California. You can
find more information about the company on the corporate website which
can be found at : http://www.impression-brand.com/about_profile.asp
