System Requirements and Specifications

The Microsoft Windows Media Center Extender for Xbox requirements and specs are as follows:

•  Microsoft Xbox video game system

•  Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

•  Media Center PC with minimum of 2.8GHz processor and 256MB of RAM

•  Network connection between Xbox console and Media Center PC is required either via Ethernet or Xbox compatible wireless router

•  Supported Wireless Networks

•  802.11 a+g (recommended)

•  802.11 g (supported)

•  2 AA batteries included

•  Supported display resolution: standard NTSC at 480i

A single MCE PC can theoretically support up to five Extender devices. The number of actual connections is dependent upon the power of the processor in your MCE PC. Sorry folks – we could not verify if this was true but maybe someone out there has ?
