Introduction
Vaja has been in the business of designing and manufacturing high quality leather cases for PDAs and cell phones for quite some time now. If you own a popular device in those categories then it is quite possible that Vaja will have a case for your needs. Ever since we first set our eyes on a Vaja iPAQ case years ago, we've always been impressed with their product offerings. Thus it should be no surprise to you that we took a trip to Vajacases.com to see what they had for the PalmOne Treo 600 Smartphone. This excellent phone has been crying out for a new case ever since we reviewed it back in December of 2003. Though PalmOne includes a decent case in the standard packaging, we could all use something just a bit more refined. Vaja offers two case designs for the Treo 600 - today, we'll be looking at one of them - the I-Volution T6. Join us as we compile a quick review of the T6 case.
Packaging
The I-Volution came to us in the mail via Federal Express (it's coming to us all the way from Buenos Aires , Argentina ) - here's a picture of the box that it comes in.
Opening the box, you'll see a wonderful presentation of the I-Volution T-6.

Overview
The I-Volution T6 is an open face leather case specifically designed for the PalmOne Treo600. All the various slots and openings are carefully designed to match the physical characteristics of the Treo600. Here are pictures of the front of the case:
Here are pictures of the bottom of the case:

You'll notice the stainless mesh speaker protectors - a nice feature for components such as the built-in speaker and the microphone.
There are openings in the case for the sync/charger travel cable. You can not place the Treo 600 into a desktop cradle with the case on.

Usage
The PalmOne Treo 600 fits perfectly into the I-Volution T6. All the front buttons are accessible through the open design of the T6. Despite the many openings found on the case, the T6 has a very rigid construction.
The only negative feature of the T6 is the lack of a screen protector. Vaja chose to keep the entire front facing of the T6 completely open thus the color screen of the Treo600 can still potentially be scratched or damaged through usage. However - there's a good reason for the lack of a plastic cover - a cover would have made it more difficult for users to use the touchscreen functionality of the Treo 600. If you really want something to protect the front of the phone, then you should consider the other case design from Vaja for the Treo 600. It should be noted that the leather encasement of the T6 provides an otherwise excellent layer of protection and padding for the rest of the Treo 600. Here are some other pictures of the case:
Vaja provides a wide array of color selections for you to choose from. The color selection is broken down into pre-made color designs and custom color designs that will take a bit more time to manufacture (and will also cost a bit more).
Summary
Vaja continues to design and manufacture excellent leather cases for a wide array of products. The I-Volution T6 is yet another example of this trend combining high quality leather with a unique case design. The Treo's rounded corners fit snugly into the I-Volution T6 case. Vaja pays a great deal of attention to the little things such as mesh covers for the microphone and speakerphone and openings for the sync/charge connector. With a wide array of colors to choose from and excellent leather craftsmanship, the I-Volution T6 is a yet another excellent product from the Argentinean company known as Vaja.
