Physical Overview
The iRiver iFP-395T has a unique triangular design that manages to fit a great deal of functionality into a small package.
The front of the player contains the on board microphone, LCD window, and joystick control. The joystick can control menu operations as well as volume and music navigational controls.
On one side of the player, you'll find all the relevant controls for this player. There is a line in jack at one end, followed by the Power On/Off/Play/Stop button, Memory/EQ A-B button and the Mode/Rec button.
On the other side of the player you'll find the earphone jack, USB connection port, and Hold button.
The bottom of the player is where the battery compartment is located. The battery door is well made and feels very secure against the rest of the chassis.
Now let's go back to the LCD display. The LCD has a wonderfully bright blue backlight that comes on when you press any button. (Unfortunately we did not capture any good pictures of the blue background)
iRiver packages an arm band for the player which is perfect for those of you on the go. The band is elastic allowing it to fit various arm sizes and the player stays firmly in place while you're jogging on the treadmill.
Finally, if you don't feel like wearing the arm band, then attach the lanyard to the player:
