Learning Cocoa in Java

This site is intended to provide some help to programmers who have gone through the book "Learning Cocoa" from O'Reilly. All of the source code examples in the book were provided in Objective-C.

Cocoa allows for those programming in Java to use the Cocoa frameworks through a Java - Objective C bridge. Most of the Framework functions in Obj-C have comparable functions in Java but there are subtle nuances. This site will provide the code exmaples from Learning Cocoa in Java as a reference.

Most of the code was transferred by me and should work but my explanations might not be the correct ones. A small comments sections is provided, feel free to point out mistakes or other comments hopefully helpful.

Sections:

  1. Objective C and Java differences in Cocoa
  2. Chapter 7 - The Currency Converter Tutorial
