Power
drill |
I think this goes without
saying that you're not a real man if you don't own a powerdrill and
a nice set of drill bits. Doesn't matter if you live in a sand hut
on Bora Bora and have nothing to drill. There's something about holding
12,000 rpms of whining metal precision that makes you feel alive.
Plus it makes great holes! |
 |
Plexiglass |
Without a doubt
this is the wonder material.Cheap, cuttable, looks good and available
at any hardware store for dirt cheap. Mine cost $3. They even cut
to size. |
 |
79
mm hole saw bit |
This "bit"
(haha, punny me) of equipment is essential for creating a nice tight
circle. Using the 79 mm hole saw bit, we'll be able to cut a perfect
circle in the plexiglas which will look professionally done. |
 |
Dremel |
The tool is the hobbyists dream machine. It's
a variable speed spinning spindle basically, which you can attach
all sorts of stuff to including sanding bits, cutting wheels, buffing
wheels...etc. You can lathe wood, cut sheet metal, buff up finishes
and seriously injure yourself. |
 |
Reinforced
cutting wheel |
This little
baby was an additional purchase but well worth it. Basically you insert
this into the Dremel and it spins real fast. So fast in fact that
you can use the edges to cut through metal. |
 |
Safety googles |
You want to keep your eyes? Wear
these. Remember kiddies, Daredevil is just a movie...The dremel kicks
up sparks and tiny bits o' metal. Contact of said metal with the eyes
is not recommeded. |
 |
Work
gloves |
See above but
substitute hands for eyes and Edward Scissorhands for Daredevil. |
