Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition (MCE) is a specialized version of Microsoft Windows XP catered towards the digital media market. Systems shipped with MCE installed can record television shows and play back audio, video and image files such as MP3 music, DVD videos, and really practically anything. Thus, MCE turns a regular PC into a digital media powerhouse. MCE includes a new user interface that is catered towards the home living room environment. The new UI allows users to easily work with MCE from as far as 10 feet away.
